Hey guys it's Kate!
Today I want to share Jess Glynne's new and I think first real album. I was waiting for so long for it because I really, really, really love her voice very much.
It was released
21 August 2015
So like I already said I really love her voice so personally I think this album is a very very good one.
I have the spotifyversion so I will review 13 songs for you guys. And once again I'm just 16 years old, and my english is not the best so I won't write a novelle, just my short opinion about the songs. And it's just my opinion. You can listen to whatever you want. :)
1)
Gave me something
It's a love song but not a slowly one. It's really catchy and if you don't listen to the lyrics you wouldn't recognize it's about love. I love those kind of songs. So for this song... 3and a half out of 5 stars!
2)
Hold my hand
It was the second song of her I knew and it's kinda is my favourite. It just makes my day much better. It's very catchy too and you kinda want to dance to it. The lyrics are very powerful beautiful. I'm always jammin out to this song. 5 out of 5 stars! Just perfect! ♥
3)
Ain't got far to go
This song was a lil bit surprising for me. I don't really know why maybe it's just me but this song is kinda different from the others. But in a good way! Those violins in the backround are heaven to me. I love that kind of music. Not the best on the album but also a good song. 3 and a half out of 5 stars!
4)
Take me home
This song is a bit more slowly...but very beautiful. Very powerful lyrics! I cried once when I listened to it. If you don't like slowly songs it's probably not your type but if you love those kinds of song..listen to it! It's so beautiful. 5 out of 5 stars!!
5)
Don't be so hard on yourself
Maybe you have already seen it in my playlist but yes I really love this song. It just gives me so much strengh and I feel much better after every time I listen to it. I think everyone should listen to the lyrics and just...don't be so hard on yourself! ♥♥ 5 out of 5 stars!
6)
No rights no wrong
It's a really cute song and I like it but something is missing what the other songs have. But it's not bad just not really my favourite. 3 out of 5 stars.
7)
You can find me
Right now is the first time I listen to this song. And my first thought was...sweet haha Idk why but It something special. I mean there are better songs by Jess but this is cute tho. so 3 and a half out of 5 stars.
8)
My love (acoustic)
I was so surprised when I saw this song in her album like I knew the song but I didn't knew she was singing it. I was like damn I just love you so much more right now! First of all I love acoustic versions those are usually my favourites. This album is so great all in all so I can't choose just one favourite but this is one of them. 5 out of 5 stars.
9)
Rather be (Clean bandit)
This was the first song I knew from here. Those days I didn't even knew she was singing it. I just knew clean bandit and I was like wow the singers voice is beautiful. Now I know why I loved this song so much.
Here are the violins also in the backround and idk but violins just make songs so much better.
It's an older song but I'm still jammin to it so I give 4 and a half out of 5 stars.
10)
Saddest Vanilla (feat Emeli Sandé)
First of all this song is with Emeli Sandé. Her voice is also very beautiful but her voices together are so great. But I have to say I expected a bit much more. So I just give 3 out of 5 stars. P.S. Am I the only one who i smelling vanilla rn...weird thing haha
11)
Why me
I have in every album on song I don't listen to because it's not my type/style and in this album it is this one. It's not bad but I've listened to it maybe twice till now haha. Maybe it gets better when you listen a few times in a row to it..who knows haha. I'm sorry but this song just didn't got my feelings. But maybe it will get yours.
2 and a half out of 5 stars.
12)
Real love (clean bandit)
Another amazing song with clean bandit. I just think the harmony is so perfect between them, like how can you not like this song. Maybe it gets a lil bit overplayed on the radio/tv but it's amazing anyway. 4 out of 5 stars. :)
13)
Not letting go (feat Tinie Tempah)
I was so excited for this song because I didn't knew what to expect. And I'm in a positive way surprised. It turned out much better than expected. I thought her voice wouldn't match with rap but it's really nice. So I will give to it 4 out 5 stars.
So all in all a really good album with ups and downs. Catchy and slowly songs. A big masterpiece...if you know Jess Glyne you're gonna love it. If not listen to it anyway...maybe you will find a song you like.
I will give this album
4 out of 5 stars
Well done Jess!
